Richard D'amore’s career as an artist spans more than 30 years. His work has a strong, worldwide appeal that satisfies both the collector as well as the critical connoisseur who seeks a simple aesthetic pleasure. Whether it be his landscapes, his nudes, his still-lifes or his architectural photographs; all of his artwork, posters and prints share the same thread of superb quality. He attended a comprehensive exhibition that was scheduled for him the spring of 2006. The event was accompanied by an exhibition catalog with a selection of cyanotypes, platinum, black and white prints and hand tinted works of his posters, prints and art. D’Amore first discovered photography while living in California in the Mill Valley. He worked under the tutelage of photographer and artist Chappell Walter. In 1970, he relocated to France to study and work. A collection of early posters, prints and art were published in 1971. He taught photography at Camberwell College of Art in London.

Upon returning to the United States, he worked for the renowned designers, Ray Eames and Charles in the Venice Studio as their photographer. With all his artistic integrity and all his personal grace, each of his images evokes an immediate connection to the man. His work has been featured in Progresso Fotografico, Camera, Peterson's Photographic Magazine, and Photocinema, among other leading publications. He is listed in the Photographer's Collector's Guide by Barbara London and Lee D. Witkin. He has continued to expand his artistic horizons, while at the same time working for the esteemed designers.
